The Seychelles Maritime Academy (SMA) proudly celebrated the graduation of 104 students in a prestigious ceremony held at the International Conference Centre Seychelles (ICCS). The event marked a key milestone in the country’s maritime education, reinforcing its commitment to building a skilled workforce for the blue economy.
Under the presence of President Wavel Ramkalawan and the Minister for Fisheries and the Blue Economy Mr. Jean-François Ferrari, amongst other high level officials of the Seychelles Government, SMA graduates received certificates with special honours awarded to those who demonstrated exceptional performance and resilience. The ceremony also introduced new accolades such as the Heart and Hustle Award and the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy Award, broadening the scope of recognition for student achievements.

Our country Manager Mr Nichol Elizabeth also attended the event and expressed our recognition to all SMA staff, headed by its director, Captain Mahesa Abeynayake in their role to prepare and teach this group of youngsters
